Ever notice how so many road signs have bad grammar? I mean come on

`

Drive slowly

  Hello! It’s slowly

     Speed limit

“Well Officer I thought that by speed limit you meant I had to go at LEAST 75. Your not really going to give me a ticket for going 90 are you?”

Pets on leash

So if the pets are on a leash why are you warning me about them. I would hope the owner would be able to control a leashed animal.

`

 `

Now that was random.

I agree, it was vrey random. :)

  2. I fear pets on leashes…they could use that leash to trip you up…lol.

  3. isaacme Says:

lol ok,maybe I was wrong about that.

  4. boonie Says:

I don’t think that they need to be grammer correct. All that they have to do is get people to notice what it says in as few words as possibly.

    speaking about grammer and spelling…

Janel – vrey is spelt v-e-r-y, unless you had another word in mind. =)

  5. isaacme Says:

No, vrey is a typo. If she had typed verry or something it would have been misspelled, but this comes under the category of typo. There’s a scientific difference you know lol.

  6. Janel Says:

“As possibly”? Do you mean “as possilbe”? and “grammer” isn’t in the dictionary maybe you meant “g-r-a-m-m-a-r” By the measure you use it will be measured to you….:) jk. Wait, is that how the verse even goes? where is it at?

  7. isaacme Says:

You guys are so off subject. I was talking about grammar not spelling. Anyway, I am the worst speller ever so neither of you have anything on me there.

  8. boonie Says:

yea yea |o|, that is funny, but i did mean grammer =). there are so many things that we do wrong and we will never know it till someone points it out us. and I was just joking about the GRAMMAR thing, and yes i am and worst speller of them all too trevor and no better at grammar either. so no one should take me litteral in this subject area, i am just messing with your minds. but i still don’t think that they need to be grammar correct on the signs.

  9. Jeff B Says:

technically “slow” as opposed to “slowly” is correct on signs such as those (according to Mrs. Jordan). I think everybody gets the picture of what the sign’s trying to say…right? And another thing: i think everybody nows what the “limit” on speed limit signs means…lol

  10. isaacme Says:

There are parts of this country where they have both upper and lower speed limits, and there are parts that have speed limits like this
